Lillian Baylis Technical School (LBTS) has a long standing history as a prolific 6-a-side football venue. LBTS is just a short 5 minute walk from Vauxhall tube (Victoria line), rail and bus stations. The pitch itself is located at the rear of LBTS - the entrance is via Oval Way, at the side of the school. Footballers are asked not enter through the main school entrance, but through the aforementioned gate on Oval Way which is opened 10-15mins before the first kick-off.
The Vauxhall 6-a-side leagues run Monday through Thursday with Monday hosting 30 minute games while Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday play out longer 40 minute matches. The goal posts are indented and the pitch enclosed on all sides making for fast flowing football. The competition for silverware is always rife generating a pacey and lively atmosphere on the pitch.
FA qualified referees, top quality Mitre footballs, and a smartphone App through which you can manage your team � football with Powerplay is hassle free. There are excellent changing and shower facilities within the school. Just be sure to use the back entrance to avoid the headmaster!
